Abigail Dawn Jackson!!

So, we finally have our baby girl!! Abigail Dawn Jackson was born July 31st, 2009, at 7:54 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 21 inches long!!

Sorry it has been so long since I've been on, but, for the past 6 - 8 weeks now I have had a sinus infection or cold on and off and it's been driving me crazy!

March 19th I was really sick and ended up going to the doctor to see if there was anything they could do ...while I was there, they weren't able to find the heartbeat with the doppler yet again, so, I got another ultrasound!! Which was great, but I was scared to death...Everything was fine, baby's heartbeat was 158 beats per minute -- I also found out on that day that we are having a little baby GIRL!! We are sooo thrilled and excited and nervous...the list goes on!

Todd wasn't with me at this appointment b/c it was a spur of the moment thing and dad had to come get me from work - so I was all by myself...I didn't care though - everything looked perfect, so, I really couldn't complain...the u/s tech asked if I wanted to know what the sex was and I couldn't quite help myself!!

Then, on March 24th, we went back for our regular appointment to get an anatomy scan...since the Thursday before, I had lost 7 lbs., which put me at my exact weight when I first got pregnant...crazy!! Todd was with me this time and it was great! We got to sit and watch her for half an hour -- it was just amazing - she was rolling, kicking, moving her arms! They re-confirmed that she was a SHE...however, SHE was being very stubborn and they weren't able to get a good picture of her face because both hands were in front or beside of her face at all times! And they couldn't get a clear picture of all 4 chambers of the heart...they actually brought in 2 other drs to see if they could get clearer pictures than the u/s tech...no such luck --- they best thing about it is that we will get to go back when I'm 24 weeks (or April 21st) to have ultrasound #8 done! It's the best - I feel truly blessed to be able to see her almost every time that I go to the dr. I know that it is very uncommon!

So, other than the cold thing, everything has been going great for me! Todd is being a great help with the laundry and keeping the house straightened up, I really don't know what I would do without him...Now it's time to make plans for the baby shower and get the nursery decorated...I am sooo stoked about the new arrival of our BABY GIRL!!!!

No big news around here....I've been sick with a "viral infection" that I had for about a week and a half before I finally went to my OB. Since I had it so long, she decided to put me on a Z-Pack, Robitussin, and Claritin....Needless to say, I feel much better now!

I went to the doctor on Wednesday of last week -- at which time I would have been 15 weeks and 1 day pregnant --- while I was there Dr. Maniar wanted to listen to the baby and make sure it was okay...she got the doppler out and found the heartbeat right away --- 160 BPM!!

Next OB appointment will be next Tuesday, March 3rd! I'll keep ya updated!

No luck yet on getting the ultrasound pictures posted --- I promise I'll keep trying!

I'm trying to find the website that family and friends can guess the date the baby will be born, the time, the height and the weight of the baby....I'll post it as soon as I can find it again!!

Tomorrow I will begin my 15th week of pregnancy...I still can't hardly believe it!

Mom and Mike went to Gatlinburg this weekend for a friend's wedding. I knew mom wouldn't be able to stay out of all of the baby stores...she's sooo excited!

She bought me a shirt - since hardly any of my other clothes are fitting now - I love it!! I'm definately going to have to make a shopping trip to get some clothes very soon. Anyways, the store that she went to, Motherhood Maternity, gave her some free samples and coupons - and a baby bottle....Having that in the house is a constant reminder that this is really happening - and every time I walk by it I have to pick it up and look at it! Hopefully I'll get over that real soon or it will be wore out way before the baby gets here!

I feel suprisingly well! I'm having some round ligament pains, but I guess that is natural -- fine by me -- I'd rather have that anyday over morning sickness!

Well, I still haven't figured out how to put the ultrasound pics up, but I will try in the next week or so for sure!

Oh yeah -- BTW -- I'm thinking about asking Aunt Linda to do an ultrasound in about a week and a half to see if we can find out what we're having! I think it's a boy, but Todd and I both would like to have a little girl first! Wish me luck! I'll post again if anything changes!

14 weeks & 2 days Preggo!

I meant to start this at the beginning of the pregnancy to keep everyone updated, but with work and Amber's ballgames, haven't really had the time.

Today, I am 14 weeks and 2 days pregnant and couldn't be any happier...other than heartburn during the first 5 or 6 weeks and a head and chest cold that keeps coming back, I have had the most uneventful pregnancy -- I guess uneventful, but have nothing to compare it to, so, uneventful for me!!

I went for my 13 week doctors appointment last Tuesday, February 3rd! It was a bit of a scare at the beginning because it was supposed to be just a regular appointment where they listened to the baby's heartbeat with the doppler. However, they neglected to tell me that there might be a problem with find the heartbeat because of the extra "fluffiness" in my tummy....they ended up doing yet another ultrasound and everything looked fine and right on track. Todd was able to go with me and he got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time...he was amazed!! A whopping 158 beats per minute!

I scheduled my next doctors appointment for March 3rd. I will be 17 weeks at that point and she still thought it might be too early to find out the gender, so, she said she will order another ultrasound 2 weeks after that....We are looking at March 17th for the "sex" ultrasound!!

Todd and I are really hoping for a girl, but will really be happy with boy, just as long as it is healthy!
